How About Some Positivity?

Well, here we go again. It's finals week and I think I speak on behalf of most college students and faculty when I say pass the Redbull. Though I'm taking less classes than I was last semester, making this time around a little easier, the deadlines leading up to finals week are still weighing on me quite a bit. Do I stay up into the wee hours to finish this or wake up earlier tomorrow? What should I do first? What percent of my grade is this? It's due when? Maybe you shouldn't have spent so much time procrastinating...these are the thoughts competing for my attention this week. Perhaps you can relate. School stress, combined with some other tough things going on in my life, have gotten this week off to an iffy start (although I will have you know my Spanish tests went pretty well! Let's not overlook our opportunities to celebrate!).
Like I said, I'm sure quite a few of you feel the same, and in facing times that are stressful and hard, whatever the reason may be, we can use a little extra positivity. So, to tie this into Technical Editing, here are some photos, videos and articles to boost your spirits during a week that may be trying (all of which are great examples of well thought out editing choices, of course). Enjoy!

I hope you got the chance to check some of these out and, if need be, they gave you an emotional boost during what could be a pretty long week. Hang in there, finish strong and don't forget to take some time for your mental and emotional health!

  1. I love the editing style you chose forth this post! The different font colors to italicizing different words to stress importance and eye catching to readers. I like how you added some positivity to our week here at NIU. I am so stressed with finals, and had not slept in days! So I can definitely relate to this post, and appreciate it fully right now!
